My Networking Action Plan Success Story: “Grantepreneur is a propulsive, enlightening, and comprehensive guide for anyone who wants to launch their own grant writing business. Any successful business, practice, or organization needs customers, patients, clients, or accounts. Katherine details a Networking Action Plan including the use of social media, especially LinkedIn. I followed her guidance, and success came my way quickly with prominent organizations including our county health department and a drug-free coalition. On LinkedIn, I noticed a local teenage boy who is a race car driver with dyslexia. He started his own foundation, Driving for Dyslexia, at twelve! I “liked” the post and commented on his success. Now I work with Driving for Dyslexia to raise awareness, educate teachers, and seek ways to help Driving for Dyslexia grow. I am moving forward with heartfelt thanks to Grantepreneur! I highly endorse this book to anybody who seeks to begin a rewarding career as a grant consultant. Grantepreneur is a must-have for any writer’s library!” ~ Brad Philbrick, Principal of Brad G. Philbrick & Company, Indianapolis, IN
"Katherine was an invaluable resource aiding me in a successful launch as a freelance consultant for small nonprofits. As a fairly seasoned fundraiser, yet new to the consulting arena, I had very specific questions in launching my business. She offered advice on areas I had not even considered and gave me tangible step-by-step homework to get started. My career and business has taken me to my dream job. Katherine has a wealth of information for those new and seasoned in this field. I highly recommend her as a grant career and business coach.” ~ Jeanette Lahm, Executive Director at Laurelville, a Retreat Center in the Laurel Highlands of Pennsylvania
"When I stepped into a fellowship position in a public school district, I had no experience in writing grants. Fortunately, I attended one of Katherine’s workshops, where I picked up the nuts and bolts of the trade. Grantepreneur(TM) is a clear, exciting take on how to get started in a career and business that pays while helping organizations in need of assistance. This book helped me with a salary negotiation and getting started as a professional grant writer. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for direction and inspiration in their transition to this profession." ~Brian Rhindress, Former Fellow, CoroPittsburgh, and Program Coordinator, Communities in Schools of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County
